Milia is located in a mountainous and environmentally sensitive area of ​​Western Crete, in the prefecture of Chania and in the center of the province of Kissamos. Our area belongs to the network of Natura protected areas.
The settlement is surrounded by a green valley formed by the mountains Kefali (Kefali) and Psilo (High), 550m. The mountain landscape offers its discretion to people and their creations. This landscape defines and shapes our identity.
From the first day, when we found the idea of ​​restoring the settlement, our philosophy was clear.

The hostels in Milia are rooms-houses that pre-existed in the 15th century, carefully renovated in detail, recording some of the essence of this era. We call them room-houses because in the past they served the basic needs of the families they hosted, despite their small size, especially during the summer. People's needs were just less then.

Milia provided them with two basic things. Water and chestnuts, which were a source of food and a small income for the family.
Today, every house has its own unique charm and decoration. The basic need for water is covered by springs and electricity is generated by solar panels. All houses have central heating, as well as a fireplace or wood stove for the winter, a private bathroom, a balcony, a patio or terraces for relaxation.
The rooms are surrounded by chestnuts, strawberries and a huge variety of flora.
There are four types of rooms. The standard double rooms, large double rooms, suites and family apartments.
